This animation portrays the struggle for survival under famine in Gaza, where even reaching for a loaf of bread can cost your life. Many young people were targeted and shot while merely trying to retrieve flour from aid trucks or return to their abandoned homes in search of food they left behind during forced displacement.

About Tayseera Alaqad

A visual artist and illustrator from Khan Younis, Gaza, she holds a degree in Intelligent Systems and Computer Engineering from Al-Aqsa University. Her practice spans digital drawing, storyboarding, and character design, with work ranging from children’s illustration to youth comics. She has received multiple national awards for comic and human rights art, and contributed original frame-by-frame animation to a global solidarity initiative for Gaza organized by Joanna Quinn.
