A short animated film about a child whose father is martyred in an Israeli strike on a Palestinian refugee camp. She reflects on a homeland she was never born in, along with the children of the camp, and thinks about how she might return to Palestine.

About Layaly Badr

A Palestinian-Jordanian filmmaker, screenwriter, author, and media executive, she studied film directing in Germany and screenwriting in New York. She founded Arteens, the first Arab television channel dedicated to teenagers, and served as Head of the Children’s Channel at ART Network. Her films have won awards at Arab and international festivals, and she currently works as a script consultant and screenplay development expert, most recently as artistic consultant on From Ground Zero, shortlisted for the 2025 Academy Awards.
